The intention of Athens Teaching Learning and Innovation Services (ATLIS) is to support faculty members by inspiring a culture of innovation in teaching and learning through our services and resources.
Welcome to ATLIS! Members of ATLIS can assist you with course design/development, event support, media development and editing, and classroom technologies that support your modalities and teaching styles.
Course Design/Development
Our instructional designers can assist you with creating active learning courses that will engage students and help them learn more effectively in-person, online, hybrid, and in ActiveFlex settings. They can also provide new ways for students to interact, participate, and collaborate. Whether you are seeking Quality Matters certification, or meeting accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) standards, the designers have the skills to help.
The ATLIS Studio
Multimedia is also part of the active learning process which ATLIS supports by providing media development, and editing services along with a studio to record lecture videos and podcasts.
Workshops
If you are a faculty member and you would like to connect to other faculty by sharing your experiences in your classroom don’t hesitate to reach out to ATLIS and schedule a faculty-led workshop. We will assist you in prepping and announcing the event. Not ready to lead? Members of ATLIS offer workshops that cover everything from instructional strategies to training on new technologies. Just watch for the announcements in your email, on this website, or in MyAthensPortal.
Faculty can also request one-on-one or group/departmental training sessions.
